One thread, from the opening to the ledger.
An evidence-based comparison of WindoorERP and the leading established window and door software systems.
Published by WindoorERP · Nawah for Technical Solutions and Software W.L.L, Doha, Qatar
Abstract
Window, door and façade fabricators have been served for three decades by engineering-led software that stops at the factory gate. Accounting, HR and payroll sit in a separate ERP; site survey and installation sit in a third tool or on paper. This whitepaper compares WindoorERP with the 8 leading established systems — Soft Tech V6, FeneVision, Klaes, LogiKal, Windowmaker, 3E Look, Emmegisoft FP Suite and SchüCal — across 75 capabilities scored on public evidence.
WindoorERP scores 78% evidence coverage against a legacy average of 58.4%. It is the only system with native accounting, HR and payroll, statutory e-invoicing (including ZATCA), an Arabic interface and progressive billing, and it carries each opening from site survey to the ledger on one record. Legacy suites keep a clear lead in deep engineering and factory control. No system yet ships AI plan takeoff.
The problem: two systems, three tools, one job
A window job crosses more departments than almost any other made-to-order product: sales, survey, engineering, purchasing, cutting, glazing, quality, delivery, installation, service and finance. Each hand-off is a chance to re-key a dimension, lose a revision or bill the wrong stage.
The typical legacy architecture answers this with an engineering and production system, often installed on-premises, connected to a separate corporate ERP for finance and HR. Soft Tech V6 uses a pre-built Microsoft Business Central integration; LogiKal hands off to an external ERP interface; SchüCal relies on a bolt-on partner ERP. Every sync point is a place where quantities, prices and statuses drift — and a project for IT whenever either side upgrades.
The question for a fabricator is not which system has the most features. It is how many systems the business has to run on.
Market context
The established field is consolidating. Cyncly owns Soft Tech V6 and FeneVision; Forterro acquired Klaes (announced April 2026) and 3E Look (May 2026) and already owned LogiKal. Five of the eight leading legacy systems now sit inside two portfolios.
Buyers in the Gulf have requirements the European and North American products were not built for: an Arabic interface, accounting localization with mandatory e-invoicing (ZATCA in Saudi Arabia), progressive billing for contractor work, multi-company groups and local presence. Only three legacy suppliers have a GCC presence — LogiKal (Dubai office), SchüCal (Schüco Middle East, Dubai) and Emmegisoft (Voilàp Middle East, Dubai; SIMCO, Riyadh) — and none offers Arabic.
For many small and mid-sized GCC fabricators the real alternative is not a legacy vertical system at all, but spreadsheets, an Arabic calculator tool and a generic accounting package. Against that status quo the case is about re-entry, waste and lost quotes.
Methodology
Each system was scored on 75 capabilities in nine groups: Sales & CRM, Survey & Field, Engineering, Materials, Production, Logistics & Install, ERP / Business, Platform and AI.
- Included (1): native in the product and publicly documented.
- Partial (½): limited, add-on, or delivered through an integration.
- Not verified (0): no public evidence, or roadmap only.
- Evidence coverage = (included + ½ × partial) ÷ 75.
The rule is symmetric: an unpublished roadmap counts as absent for every system, including WindoorERP. WindoorERP’s column was verified against the modules installed on live tenants (a code check), which downgraded 11 of its own cells — including in-product AI, BIM/IFC and wind-load checking. Competitor cells were re-checked on live vendor pages, support documentation and third-party sources on 24 September 2026; the e-invoicing row was updated on 26 September 2026 from Odoo 19 documentation.
Limitations: "Not verified" is not proof of absence. Vendors may ship capabilities they do not document publicly, and pilot-stage or partner-delivered features are scored as partial. Corrections with a public source are welcome and will be reflected in the next version.
Key findings
The ten claims below are the evidence base for every WindoorERP comparison page. Each has a stable ID so it can be cited directly.
Overall evidence coverage
Ranked by evidence coverage across all 75 capabilities. The legacy average is 58.4%.
Analysis by stage of the job
Legacy systems match WindoorERP on configuration, materials and production — the core they were built for. The difference opens at both ends of the job.
Before the factory: sales and site survey
WindoorERP combines CRM, two-way WhatsApp, online quote approval and quote revisions with a dedicated survey workflow: a mobile app with Bluetooth laser measurement, opening-level photos, offline capture and GPS check-in. Among the legacy systems, only Windowmaker fully includes offline field mode and WhatsApp.
Engineering and production
Every system in the benchmark includes a graphical configurator, rule-based configuration, dynamic BOM, 2D design and production orders. WindoorERP’s production suite includes bar-cutting optimisation, an offcut register, glass nesting, operator terminals, QC/NCR and CNC export. Legacy suites go further on curtain wall, CAD/DXF, capacity planning, batching and brand-specific machine drivers (claim C9).
After the factory: installation and service
WindoorERP includes installation scheduling, an installer mobile workflow, digital completion with photos and sign-off, on-site snagging and warranty. No legacy system fully includes on-site snagging; installer mobile workflows are fully included by only 2 of 8.
The back office
This is the widest gap. WindoorERP runs on the full Odoo platform: accounting with localization, statutory e-invoicing, HR and localized payroll, project management, multi-company and a customer portal — in the same database as the drawing. No legacy system fully includes accounting or HR (claims C1 and C2). E-invoicing follows the country: ZATCA in Saudi Arabia and the matching national system wherever Odoo provides a fiscal localization (claim C10).
E-invoicing by country
E-invoicing is set by each country’s tax authority, so support follows the Odoo fiscal localization. The status below is taken from Odoo 19 documentation, checked on 26 September 2026. Countries whose mandate is announced but not yet supported by Odoo are shown separately and count as absent.
NoteE-invoicing requires the Odoo Enterprise edition. The Odoo Enterprise licence is billed separately from WindoorERP.See pricing →
Where legacy systems still lead
Decades of engineering investment show, and this paper reports it plainly. The capabilities below are fully included by at least half of the legacy systems and only partial in WindoorERP today; they define WindoorERP’s engineering roadmap.

Specialist checks such as wind-load and U-value calculation, BIM/IFC exchange and pre-loaded supplier catalogues are also more common in legacy engineering suites — LogiKal alone offers 450+ supplier catalogues with more than 7 million items.
Buyer’s guide: which system fits which fabricator
There is no single best system for every fabricator. The table below summarises when each legacy system is the stronger choice, and links to the full head-to-head comparison.
Choose WindoorERP if you want window and door design, site survey, production, installation, accounting with e-invoicing, HR and payroll in one cloud system — in Arabic, English and other languages, localized for your country.
Buying and deploying
- Pricing: WindoorERP publishes regional pricing — $15–45 per user/month, or $199–699 per month flat with unlimited users; setup from $2,500. Among the legacy systems only Windowmaker publishes prices (claim C7).
- Deployment: WindoorERP runs as managed cloud SaaS on Odoo, hosted per customer. Only Windowmaker is also fully browser-first (claim C6).
- Presence: WindoorERP is headquartered in Doha, Qatar, and is built by Nawah for Technical Solutions and Software W.L.L.
The open frontier
No system in this comparison ships AI plan and schedule takeoff, AI revision comparison, or specialized autonomous agents. AI-native startups are attacking takeoff and quoting, but without the downstream production and finance data to act on it. A single opening record that runs from site to ledger is the natural place to put that intelligence.
Conclusion
Legacy leaders will keep their lead in engineering depth and machine integration for some time. WindoorERP’s position is different: an opening-level digital thread from site reality to engineering, factory, installation and the corporate ledger, built on the business breadth of Odoo and localized country by country — with Arabic and the Middle East built in, not bolted on.
Not more ERP features. One digital thread.
