Guided journey
From enquiry to installed job
The whole route through WindoorERP: quote it, design it, make it, install it, invoice it, service it.
Journey complete
You have worked through every step. Keep the momentum — the next journey builds on what you just did.
All journeysOne job, followed end to end. Each phase hands the next one everything it needs: the quotation becomes the production order, the production order becomes the cutting list, the delivered pieces become an installation visit, and the signed handover becomes an invoice.
Work through it in one sitting to understand the shape of the system, or take one phase at a time as your team reaches it.
By the end you will be able to
- Quote a window job accurately, from drawing to price
- Turn an approved quotation into a production order without re-keying anything
- Produce cutting lists and labels the shop floor can actually work from
- Plan, execute and sign off an installation visit on site
- Invoice progressively as the job advances, not only at the end
- Handle a service request against the job you delivered
Before you start

The path
01
Set up
02
Win the job
- 03 Open the quotation The enquiry becomes a document. 3 min Create a quotation
- 04 Add the openings Draw each opening the customer asked for. Quantities and sizes drive everything downstream. 6 min Add a window to a quotation
- 05 Specify the glass Performance, thickness and cost — decided per opening, not per job. 3 min Choose glass for an opening
- 06 Price it and send it Apply the customer's pricing, then send. The sent PDF is the version you will be held to. 4 min Send a quotation for approval
03
Design it right
- 07 Fix the dimensions and sashes Approved job, real sizes. What you set here becomes cut lengths on the saw. 5 min Set frame dimensions and sashes
- 08 Confirm the profile series The series decides the sections, the reinforcement and most of the hardware. 3 min Choose a profile series
- 09 Check the hardware the system chose Hardware is selected by rules, not by memory. This is where you see which rule fired and why. 4 min Understand automatic hardware selection
04
Make it
- 10 Launch production The sales order becomes work, without anybody re-typing a size. 3 min Launch production from a sales order
- 11 Generate the cutting list Every piece the job needs, with its cut length and its destination. 3 min Generate a cutting list
- 12 Optimize the cutting The step that pays for the software: less offcut per bar, measured. 5 min Optimize profile cutting
- 13 Label the pieces A labelled piece can be found on a busy floor; an unlabelled one gets remade. 3 min Print piece labels
- 14 Track it on the shop floor Where the job actually is, without a phone call to the foreman. 3 min Track work on the shop floor
05
Install it
- 15 Record the site survey Measured openings beat quoted openings — the survey is what production trusts. 5 min Record a site survey
- 16 Plan the installation visit Crew, date, pieces to load. The visit is a document, not a WhatsApp message. 4 min Plan an installation visit
- 17 Hand over and get it signed A signature on site closes the job and starts the warranty clock. 4 min Hand over and sign off an installation
