Guided journey

1- First Time Log in System

The first hour in a new WindoorERP database: get in, look around, then set up the company, its email, its people and their languages.

13 steps about 95 min Beginner New administrator setting up the database

Everything in this path happens once, at the beginning, and everything that comes after it depends on it being right. It starts with your own login and ends with a database your colleagues can work in: their accounts, their access, their language, and email that actually leaves the building.

Follow it in order. The first four steps are for everyone; from Set up your company and its branches onwards you need administrator rights, so if that is not you, hand the journey over at that point.

By the end you will be able to

  • Log in, set your own password, and protect the account with two-factor authentication
  • Find any screen in WindoorERP, and get help without leaving the one you are on
  • Report a problem or a suggestion straight to the WindoorERP team
  • Set up your company, its branches, and the details that print on your documents
  • Send and receive email from the database, and work out why one did not arrive
  • Add your colleagues, give each of them the right access, and let everyone work in English or Arabic

Before you start

  • An invitation email from WindoorERP, or a login someone has already given you
  • Administrator rights — needed from step 5 (company setup) onwards
  • Your company details to hand: legal name, address, logo, tax number, and the branches you work from
  • The mailbox and mail server details WindoorERP should send from, if you intend to do the email steps
