Set up the glass library and the frame colours
The recorded glass and colour training as a path: keep the glass list to what you sell, complete each glass record down to its purchasing link and physical data, then define solid and textured frame colours the designer can draw.
This is the glass and frame colour training recorded by the WindoorERP team, as a path to follow with the System app open. It picks up where the profile systems training stops: a system draws and cuts nothing until its glass and colours exist. The full video sits at the top of this page.
The glass half is about two links. The related product ties a glass build to the item you actually purchase, and without it the glass is never bought from a supplier. The physical properties tie it to the bead, the sash weight and the figures a consultant will ask for.
The colour half is about how the drawing looks. A solid colour is one shade; a texture is an image repeated across every profile, with a main colour as the fallback preview. The last step of the profile training still applies: a colour is offered on a system only once it is mapped there.

The glass library
- 01 Archive the glass you do not supply, and restore it Select the builds you do not offer, one or several at once, and archive them from the Actions menu; WindoorERP asks for confirmation, and archiving keeps the record and its history where deleting removes it for good. An archived glass disappears from every system, so designers and sales staff no longer see it. To bring one back, open the search options, enable the Archived filter, select the record and unarchive it with the same menu; then clear the filter so inactive records do not stay mixed into your working list. - 02 Complete each glass build Open a build and fill it down to the two links that matter: the Product SKU, without which the glass is never purchased, and the Thickness, which must equal the bead line on the profile system. Set the Glass Type, the Bead Type and the Safety Rating, then the physical properties from the supplier's sheet. Frame colours
- 04 Define solid and textured frame colours Under Frame Colours create one record per finish: a Solid Color with its Main Color, or a Texture / Pattern with a square sample image or an external URL and a main colour as the fallback swatch. Set the Glass Overlay Color and the Frame/Header Color so the drawing looks like the product. - 05 Map each colour on the systems that offer it A colour record alone is not offered anywhere. Add it as the Outside Color of a rule on the Colors and Materials tab of every profile system that comes in that finish, with the products and the rate the finish needs. Golden oak or mahogany can exist in the colour list and still be unavailable on a system with no row for them. 11 min Map a profile system's colours to products and prices
