Define what finished means

Set the on-site quality audit

Why this step

Plumb, level, water-tightness, anchorage. These are the four arguments you will otherwise have on site with no evidence — define them as an audit and the answer is recorded rather than remembered.

What this does

Enforces rigorous on-site quality compliance protocols, verifying frame vertical plumb (within 1.0mm/m), anchor spacing (max 700mm), perimeter silicone bead adhesion, and water ingress resistance.

Before you start

  • Site QC Checklists and Inspection Point standards configured.

Steps

Site QC job inspections registry tracking scheduled, passed, and failed field audits

Site quality checklists catalog for framing, glazing, and perimeter sealant audits

QC checklist configuration form defining mandatory tests and tolerance limits

Important

Conduct field hose water nozzle spray tests (AAMA 501.2 standard) on representative installed windows to certify airtight and watertight sealing.

  1. 01
Open Installation › Configuration › Site QC Job Inspections.
  2. 02
Launch a new inspection for the target project floor and opening series.
  3. 03
Complete mandatory checklist tests: Plumb & Level Laser Check, Fixing Lug Spacing, Drainage Cap Fit, Gasket Corner Welds, Handle Smooth Travel.
  4. 04
Record exact digital caliper/laser measurements on the inspection tablet.
  5. 05
Sign off on approved openings or instantly generate rework punch list tickets for failed items.

Common mistakes

  • Performing QC inspections without calibrated digital spirit levels.
  • Passing frames where anchor screws are countersunk directly into thermal-break plastic insulation.

Checkpoint

A unit cannot be reported installed until its audit has been completed on site.
