Guided journey

3- Setup CRM and Sales

Configure the commercial side end to end: who sells, how the pipeline is shaped, how a price is reached, and what the customer finally receives.

18 steps about 23 min Intermediate Sales manager or administrator configuring the commercial side

This path configures the commercial half of WindoorERP: the team that sells, the pipeline an enquiry travels through, the rules that decide a price, and the document the customer finally opens. None of it is hard on its own. What makes it a journey is the order — stages, pricelists and quotation templates all reference each other, and reworking one late means reworking the rest.

The reading is short, about twenty minutes. The decisions are not. Set aside an afternoon with whoever owns the sales targets, and finish with the last two steps, which put one real enquiry through everything you have just built.

By the end you will be able to

  • Structure sales teams, name their leaders, and set the monthly target each is measured against
  • Route incoming enquiries to the right team automatically, by territory and postal jurisdiction
  • Shape the pipeline: the stages a deal passes through, the probability of each, and what fires at a milestone
  • Record why deals are lost, so win/loss reporting is worth reading
  • Decide how a price is reached — pricelists and contractor tiers, colour and glass variants, hardware bundles, and engines that calculate by area and perimeter
  • Standardise what the customer receives: quotation templates, the PDF pack, the default validity, and the email signature
  • Take one enquiry from lead to sent quotation on the configuration you have just built

Before you start

  • Administrator rights, or the Sales and CRM administrator access groups
  • Your company, users and languages already set up — start with "1- First Time Log in System" if not
  • Your product catalogue and profile series loaded, since pricelists and price engines are built on them
  • Decisions taken with the sales owner beforehand: the teams, their targets, the stages a deal really passes through, and the discount authority each role has
